The day proved successful in regards to both excellent wildlife viewing and super weather conditions. As we set out in the morning the calm seas rippled fom the bow of the SV Tuan as we made our way east towards not only a humpback whale but also a group of 6 Transient Orcas and a group of over 200 pacific wite sided dolphins. As the Transients approached the dolphins somehow the dolphins realized that their only predator was not far away and exploded into a frenzy of white water in their attempt to flee. The scene was incredible with atleast 50 dolphins airborne at any one time. This afternoon proved similar in the sense that both weather and wildlife were both excellent except that we also were able to launch the mainsail in the light westerly wind that blew from astern on the way home.
