The day was a glorious one throughout for both of our tours with calm seas and sunshine++. Our sightings today included Orcas: the A36’s with A12, they were well spread out and foraging near to Cracroft Point when we left them heading for home in the late afternoon. We also had some very good viewing of a Minke Whale who was feeding intensely in Weynton Passage along with several Stellar Sea Lions. Another highlight of the day were some Dall’s Porpoises bow riding briefly, it was exciting to watch as they darted and splashed alongside the boat as it traveled along. Other species also seen: Harbour Seals, Rhinoceros Auklets, Common Murres, Pigeon Guillemots, Harlequin Ducks, Belted Kingfishers, Bald Eagles including an Eaglet in the nest and California Gulls.
