Humpback whales on a glassy sea!

Sightings: Humpback whales, Harbour seals with pups, Dall's porpoises, Stellar sea lions, Bald Eagles, Belted Kingfishers, Black Oyster Catchers, Red-necked Phalaropes, Rhinoceros Auklets, Cassin's Auklets, Common Murres, Black Turnstones and Harlequin Ducks. On our tour this morning we encountered Black Pearl resting on the surface of the water for quite a while and when two other Humpback whales travelled in from Bold Head we watched as Black Pearl tail lobbed once and headed further east in Blackfish Sound. When the other two Humpback whales came near (possible mother and calf), we heard trumpeting from one of them which was exciting for our guests on board to hear. Two more Humpback whales were seen further north in the direction of the White Cliff Islands which looked today to be floating on a glassy sea! On the way home we cruised through numerous island waterways enjoying the abundant beauty of our surroundings which is always a joy to see especially when the sun is shinning!
