There were many pods of Orcas in the area today but closest to us were the A12's and the A11's; a total of 13 whales. They spent the afternoon foraging and all the while they were chatting back and forth with each other. With our hydrophone down we just drifted quietly listening to their amazing vocalizations. There wasn't much wind but we did hoist our main sail and moved along slowly with them for some time before heading for home. On the way we all enjoyed afternoon tea on deck in the sun. It was a perfect trip, especially for our guests from Spain, 1 of which who's dream to see wild killer whales had come true.
