Orcas

SV Tuan had a great afternoon watching the A12 family of Orcas and sailing. 6 of the 8 Orcas were sleeping the whole time and with SV Tuan drifting along in the tide and light breeze we were able to keep pace with them on their slow journey to the east. We then put up the mainsail and sailed away from the 6 animals to see the 2 that were up ahead. As we neared where they were they turned, stopped, and waited for the rest of the group to catch up before going around the point of land jutting out in front of them. The Orcas we saw today were apparently being followed by another larger group of Orcas that were quite a few miles behind, and all these Orcas were heading towards another group of Orcas that are further to the east making the area literally riddled with Orcas!
