It was a beautiful calm day on the water and we noticed increasing numbers of sea birds had arrived into the area from our last tour out with herring ball activity ++. We enjoyed some nice viewing of a minke whale that we identified as ‘Ripple’ foraging near to Stubbs Island while other sightings included: harbour seals hauled out, dalls porpoises, rhinoceros and cassin’s auklets, red-necked phalaropes (first sighting of the season for them) and numerous bald eagles.
