It was a day of mystic beauty of viewing three humpback whales in the fog (and listening to the blows of one we did not find), a minke whale and dall’s porpoises, all of them intent on feeding in the back eddie of an ebb current. Other sightings today included: stellar sea lions, harbour seals, rhinoceros auklets, common murre, red-necked phalaropes, california, mew and glaucous-winged gulls, bald eagles and belted kingfishers.
