It was a fabulous day for viewing and despite the weather forecast, there was no rainfall while we were out on tour! There were six or more Humpback Whales, some were very active in the wind and waves and one was breaching! Tail and pectoral fin slapping was also seen and lunge feeding at one point through a bait ball! There were gulls galore to be seen feeding over bait balls and elsewhere while Cassin's and Rhinoceros Auklets were less numerous today.

We encountered Orcas, the A30s as they travelled west past Blinkhorn, swimming amongst them were some Pacific White-sided Dolphins. The A23s and A25s were also in the area. Dolphins were also observed earlier on interacting with Steller Sea Lions, it was fun to watch them frolicking and playing back and forth around the Dolphins.
