Beautiful Humpback whales and pristine scenic waterways!

It was a gloriously warm and sunny day to be out on the water viewing all that we did amidst a blue and cloudless sky on calm blue waters. How lucky were we after yesterdays blustery winds!

Several Humpback whales kept our passengers excited and watchful as we anticipated when they would surface next. It was amazing to sit and observe life in the wild as it happened all around us in the swirling waters that ebbed and flowed.

The scenic waterways we explored on our way to and from the whales were a mix of sparkling kelp forests interspaced by green treed islets upon which a Stellar sea lion was hauled out, and numerous Harbour seals, mothers and their pups were seen hauled out as well.

On our way home in Weynton Passage, a bait ball was observed with Bald eagles, Gull species, Rhinoceros Auklets and Common Murre all feasting on it. Bald Eagles in treetops and Eaglets in their nest made for the end of a beautiful days outing.
