Rewarding Day
We had to venture a little bit farther from home than we normally do but the whales did not disappoint: I64, I4, I27, A42’s were in a resting pattern moving slowly though the waters. Enroute, we witnessed Humpbacks Whales foraging, Stellar Sea Lions swimming in a group, their flippers looking wing like as they glided through the water. For the birder , there were Pigeon Guillemots, Red Necked Phalaropes, Rhinoceros Auklets not to mention Herons and Cormorants as well. It was well worth the journey.
